Courses Offered
College of Teacher Education, Mangaldai mainly conducts a two-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) course under Gauhati University.
Eligibility
For admission to the B.Ed. course, eligibility shall be as per NCTE norms. Candidates who have passed a bachelor degree under the 10+2+3 (B.A./B.Sc./B.Com.) pattern or a master degree in Arts, Science, or Commerce securing 50% marks or above for general category and at least 45% for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC candidates are eligible to apply. These norms may be relaxed for in-service teachers deputed by the Govt. of Assam for admission in the B.Ed. course.

Admission Procedure
The seat capacity of College of Teacher Education, Mangaldai as limited by NCTE is 50 (One basic Unit). The Govt. of Assam selects the list of teachers from secondary schools and accordingly we admit them on a first come first basis. If seats remain vacant, those seats are filled up by candidates selected by Gauhati University from their B.Ed. entrance test.
