Rules & Regulations

The College of Teacher Education (CTE), Mangaldai expects all students and staff to maintain discipline, integrity, and a positive academic environment. The following rules and regulations are to be strictly followed by everyone associated with the institution:

General Conduct

  • Students must maintain discipline and decorum within the campus at all times.
  • Respect for teachers, staff, fellow students, and visitors is mandatory.
  • Any form of ragging, harassment, or discrimination is strictly prohibited and will lead to severe disciplinary action.
  • Students must wear their identity cards while on campus.
  • Use of mobile phones is not allowed during class hours, seminars, or in the library.

Attendance & Academic Requirements

  • Minimum 80% attendance is compulsory for all coursework and practicum activities.
  • 90% attendance is mandatory during internship and teaching practice.
  • Students must participate in all internal assessments, assignments, and sessional tests as scheduled.
  • Absence due to illness must be supported by a valid medical certificate.

Library & Laboratory Rules

  • Maintain silence in the library and ICT lab at all times.
  • Books and resources must be handled with care and returned on time.
  • Food and drinks are not allowed in the library or labs.
  • Any damage to library or lab property will be charged to the responsible student.

Dress Code

  • Students are expected to dress modestly and appropriately for an academic environment.
  • Wearing the prescribed college uniform (if any) is compulsory on specified days and during official events.

Campus Cleanliness & Safety

  • Maintain cleanliness in classrooms, corridors, and all campus areas.
  • Participate in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and other cleanliness drives organized by the college.
  • Smoking, consumption of alcohol, and use of drugs are strictly prohibited on campus.
  • Report any safety hazards or suspicious activities to the college authorities immediately.

Other Important Guidelines

  • Students must regularly check the college notice board and website for updates and notifications.
  • Participation in workshops, seminars, and co-curricular activities is encouraged for holistic development.
  • Any violation of rules may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or expulsion from the college.

All students and staff are expected to abide by these rules and regulations to ensure a safe, respectful, and academically enriching environment at CTE Mangaldai.
